Ashley House was full of music and movement this afternoon as Dolly from Mini Concerts came to visit and perform for residents.

Dolly treated everyone to a wide selection of country songs, delivered with real energy and warmth. She was friendly, engaging, and made a point of connecting with residents throughout the performance, encouraging people to join in, dance, and have fun in a way that felt relaxed and inclusive.

It wasn’t long before the music had people tapping along and getting up for a little dance. The photos capture some wonderful moments, including two residents enjoying a dance together, Dolly in action mid-song, and Wendy and Violet clearly having a lovely time. Another photo shows Dolly singing directly to residents, creating that special atmosphere only a live performance can bring.

Live music can be a powerful way to support wellbeing, helping to stimulate the brain, lift mood, and encourage social connection. Most importantly, it gave residents the chance to share an enjoyable experience together with plenty of smiles along the way.

A big thank you to Dolly for bringing such a bright and uplifting afternoon to Ashley House.
