Residents at Ashley House had a real treat this afternoon with a visit from Alpaca Adventure. Wendy kindly brought along two wonderful alpacas, Len and Bruno, giving everyone the chance to enjoy some calm, close-up animal companionship.

From the moment they arrived, Len and Bruno’s gentle nature brought smiles and laughter throughout the home. Many residents were delighted to get involved, with plenty of opportunities to stroke and pet the alpacas and spend a little time with them. The photos capture some lovely moments, showing residents sitting comfortably with Len and Bruno nearby, enjoying the interaction and sharing a laugh with those around them.

Animal visits like this can make a meaningful difference to wellbeing. They often encourage conversation, help residents feel relaxed, and offer a comforting change of routine. For some people, the simple act of reaching out to stroke an animal can be soothing and uplifting, while others enjoy watching the interaction and taking in the friendly atmosphere.

It was a pleasure to see how naturally the visit brought people together, creating warm moments and a shared focus for the afternoon.

A heartfelt thank you to Wendy and everyone at Alpaca Adventure for bringing Len and Bruno to Ashley House. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and hope to welcome them back again soon.
